Moses Powers Photographer and Installation Artist
Moses was studying Fine Art at London’s Metropolitan University when he was named ‘Photographer to watch’ by Professional Photographer’s Magazine in 2009.
He has since been cementing his reputation as one of London’s exciting new talents. Recently, his work was showcased in Condé Nast’s feature ‘How to start collecting art’ and the demand for his craft is continuing to rise.
Moses embraces his innermost thoughts and manifests his memories into his wondrously abstract creations. They form the foundational bond of all his work whilst he leaves the overall structure open to interpretation.
Inspired by Louise Bourgeois’ autobiographical work, Moses searches his favourite Deadman’s Market, auction houses and antique fairs for symbolic objects. He looks for things which have absorbed the connective energy of London and hold a history which resonates and connects with his own.
“My craft is photography and installation art, but I am also a storyteller.”
