Some relatives of the rich and famous sail into the limelight clasping to their Daddies coattails with all their might. Some, however, do it their way. Coco Sumner is certainly in the camp of DIY.

Starting out at the tender age of 15, Coco began writing and performing her own music. Just two years later, at the age of 17, she had signed an astonishing multi-record deal with major label, Island Records. Since then, she has written and recorded her debut album, The Constant. In February, the album spawned its first single, Caesar, a blitzkrieg-pop masterpiece featuring Robyn. Her follow up single, Self Machine, is due for a 12th July release while the much anticipated debut LP will be available from September.
